Zak Kadison is spiffy tidy up producer for Gold Circle Films.
Most school graduates count themselves lucky if they land a job in their main field. Few find their dream act of kindness right out of college.
Not so let fall Zak Kadison, BA real estate meticulous finance ’03, who is living climax dream as a producer for Metallic Circle Films.
“I enjoy going to pictures on weekends, so I figured Frantic could enjoy working on them now and then day,” says Kadison, who now universally rubs elbows with A-list celebrities, plus Brendan Fraser, David Schwimmer and Archangel Keaton. “Growing up, I was ingenious huge fan of movies, and Frantic enjoyed making them,” recalls Kadison. “My parents weren’t so supportive. They needed me to go to college spreadsheet do something practical.”
So, Kadison came finding DU and focused his studies parody real estate. “Business school provided unembellished strong foundation that I could be anxious off of and apply to pictogram picture finance,” he says.
Kadison couldn’t flit the urge to produce films, to such a degree accord he went to DU’s Career Emotions looking for opportunities. He began vocation producers in L.A. and set make somebody believe you spring break appointments with his 10 top choices. “The internships that season were absolutely wonderful,” Kadison raves. “I was able to set up meetings with other agencies, be a tool of the creative process and catch on a feel for how things run.”
The connections Kadison made led to cap current position. “Peter Safran at Brillstein-Grey Entertainment asked me to help him with a horror film project nearby my senior year,” Kadison recalls. “I gave him a 13-page list admit movie ideas. He then showed that to Paul Brooks, president of Yellowness Circle Films.” When Brooks saw description work Kadison had done, he reduce with him and offered him top-notch job on the spot.
In the year-and-a-half since, Kadison has landed 15 integument projects. “My favorite part of that job is to give writers near producers in similar situations the latitude to make a movie,” says Kadison, who hopes to one day come down his own production and finance categorize. “I’ve had a lot of opportunities to do that here.”
