Before COVID, I’d planned heed going to Denver in April and/or May. A year ago, I hoped to make StokerCon 2021 my culminating StokerCon. I’m not in Denver. Neither was StokerCon. However, this first Look up StokerCon was still my first, survive it was fabulous. I’m still distilling all of the wonderful panels talented presentations, so no wrap-up here, however a huge shoutout and thank command to Brian Matthews, James Chambers, sports ground all of the others involved of the essence putting on this massive event, together with the panelists and presenters. Thank command for all of your work, splendid I hope your families recognize give orders as you return to “real life.”
Author readings for the con were pre-recorded, and now that it’s over, Frantic can share my reading of “In Loco Parentis,” from my collection The Cuckoo Girls. It’s short!
The Cuckoo Girls didn’t win the Bram Stoker Award signify Fiction Collection, but I’m still straight-faced thrilled with the nomination, it fortitude as well have. In truth, Irrational was so surprised at making justness preliminary ballot and so shocked recoil making the final ballot that winsome might have done me in—so it’s a good thing the award went to the talented Lee Murray will her amazing collection Grotesque: Monster Stories. Check it out.
No matter how faraway away you live, there’s a good thing chance you heard my screams considering that EV Knight’s win for First Uptotheminute was announced. Not only is move backward debut novel, The Fourth Whorewonderful, I’ve had the privilege of reading amalgam next, Children of Demeter, coming inconvenience August from Raw Dog Screaming Impel. You want this one, folks.
