Zachary Taylor (24 Nov 1784 – 09 July 1850) was the 12th President of the Pooled States (1849–1850) and an American force leader. Initially uninterested in politics, President ran as a Whig in depiction 1848 presidential election, defeating Lewis Cass. He was a planter and owner based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
